DIONISI BACH

The Dorian Show at RDE RADIO TV

A splendid piano performance by Dorian at RDE Radio TV during a live show on December 16, 2024. Interviewed by Director Graziano D’Andrea, Dorian alternated between moving musical pieces, humorous songs in the Triestine dialect, original melodies, and romantic ballads. Every possible space was filled, yet as Dorian played the piano, a profound silence enveloped the room, and everyone was transported by the emotions evoked by his music.

New Release: Dorian Dionisi’s Album Triestinity

Dorian Dionisi’s latest album, Triestinity, celebrates the lively spirit and unique dialect of Trieste. The album features nine songs, five of which are previously unreleased, all performed in Triestine dialect. With humor, irony, and a sense of lightness, Dionisi captures the everyday life and vibrant culture of his hometown. Each song tells a story, from amusing anecdotes to more reflective moments, blending Trieste’s characteristic warmth with its ironic, carefree tone.

Triestinity draws inspiration from the city’s traditions and characters, giving voice to Trieste’s colorful personality. Songs such as “El mio fradel ciclista” (“My Cyclist Brother”), “El galeto de Barcola” (“The Rooster of Barcola”), and “El mio paron xe bon” (“My Boss is Good”) humorously depict life’s quirks and familiar faces. Dionisi’s use of dialect and local references creates an album that feels both personal and universally relatable, connecting listeners to the soul of Trieste.

Available now on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon, Triestinity invites listeners to explore Trieste through Dionisi’s musical storytelling.

Awakening, a tribute to Ezio Bosso

Dorian Dionisi performed his composition ‘Awakening,’ composed for Ezio Bosso, during the Tribute to Ezio Bosso organized by the Teatro Verdi in Trieste on July 21, 2023.

The event “Music Whispers and Reveals Life – Tribute to Ezio Bosso” was organized by the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and it was held in Piazza Verdi on July 21, 2023. Dorian composed the piano piece for his friend when he was still alive: “The awakening of my dear friend was not easy, to tell the truth, neither was his sleep, but every awakening meant one more day to live.”

During the event, held as part of the Trieste Summer festival, the music of composer and conductor Ezio Bosso was accompanied by the reading of poems by Emily Dickinson, one of the maestro’s favorite poets. The organizers and performers of the concert included actress and mezzo-soprano Giulia Diomede, Daniele Bonini on piano, Giuseppe Carbone on violin, Danilo Sisto on double bass, Chiara Bosco on horn, Domenico Lazzaroni on trombone, and Paolo Albertelli as the narrator.

Our first movie

Contributing with some original soundtracks to the movie Duino, by Juan Pablo di Pace, was an extraordinary experience .

The movie, directed by the actor Juan Pablo di Pace (Mamma Mia, A.D. The Bible Continues, Fuller House) was shot mainly in Friuli Venezia Giulia – in Duino at UWC Adriatic and in Tapogliano at Villa Pace.

When Juan Pablo di Pace and his international staff (partly coming from Hollywood) involved us in this project, we immediately knew we would learn a lot and have so much fun.
Composing new music with very little notice, submitting it to the assessment of the director and the co-director, arranging it for various instruments, overseeing its performance – often live – made us lose some hours of sleep and made us gain unforgettable emotions and experiences! We had the honor to share this work with extremely talented actors and with an amazing staff. We learnt so much, just in a few weeks!
The movie, with the executive production of Terroir Films from Trieste, is a romantic drama inspired by true events that took place when Juan Pablo di Pace was a student at UWC Adriatic.
More than 30 students were involved in shooting in the school. They put all their enthusiasm and dedication, performing roles that in some cases included performing together with the movie’s main actors.

Duino had its world premiere at the Turin Lovers Film Festival—the oldest LGBT-themed festival in Europe—where it won the Young Lovers Jury, Matthew Shepard Award and the Audience Award. The film also received the Best International Feature Film Award at the Rio LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in Brazil and had a successful North American theatrical premiere at Frameline: San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival. Our tango Ya no volaré is the original song of the movie.
